Megatrends

Megatrends (1982) by John Naisbitt

three stages of technology

"During the first stage of technological innovation, technology take the path of least resistance, that is, it is applied in ways that do not threaten people--reducing the change that the technology will be abruptly rejected." p. 27

The second stage of development is when the technology "is used to improve what we already have" (p. 27).

The third state is the point where new innovations appear that have not been possible before.
