ADDIE In the Library

ADDIE

ADDIE  in the Library:Building a Model for the Information Age Library by Troy A. Swanson, Community & Junior College Libraries 13(2), 53-63.

Abstract: Shifts in networked technologies have removed the need to store information geographically close to students, staff, and faculty on college campuses. This shift has put libraries on the offense to remain vital to the campuses they serve. As the library of the future emerges, new models for decision making that place an emphasis on the teaching & learning process will be needed. One such model is the ADDIE (assess, design, develop, implement, and evaluate) model for instructional. By extending this model, the library can position itself to better serve the curricula of the modern community college.
